Gargoti Museum : Nashik

Award Winning Mineral Museum

Gargoti MuseumThe Gargoti Museum is in Sinnar some 30-40km from Nashik. It is situated on the Nashik-Shirdi highway. The museum has one of the best collections of Zeolites in the world. Mr. Krishna Chandra Pandey is the man behind this mesmerizing museum.

Zeolites are micro porous crystalline solids with well defined rich structures. They appear somewhat like diamonds or other precious stones. In fact some of the Zeolites are more precious than Diamonds.

At the entrance of the Gargoti Museum one is welcomed by a tall statue of Mother India. Just above it is a huge dome showing the map of drifting Indian Subcontinents. The museum has got two floors. On the first floor you can see the some of the choosy collections, mostly from other parts of the world. The ground floor displays about 1700 rare specimens & intricate Zeolites. Each of these is very unique and oozes positive energy. If you are thoroughly impressed by the nature’s beauties you can buy some precious stones articles & mineral bits for yourself from the sales counter.

The Gargoti Museum has been appreciated through various awards like the “Pride of India”, “Sarswati Puraskar”, “Sinnar Gaurav ” Award to name a few. But the spell-bounding beauty & aura around the museum has to be seen to be believed.
